We partnered with the Niagara Region to create a fully AODA-compliant Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Action Plan in both print and digital formats. By prioritizing accessibility, we delivered a clear, actionable, and inclusive framework that supports meaningful engagement from all community members.
When the Niagara Region sought to build a Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Action Plan that truly reflected their commitment to a more inclusive community, they turned to us. We designed a fully AODA-compliant document in both print and digital formats, ensuring every resident, regardless of ability, could access and engage with the plan. Our work balanced thoughtful design with clear, actionable content, making it not only a visually cohesive guide but also a practical format for their framework for real change.
Creating an actionable Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Action Plan isn’t just about setting goals—it’s about ensuring every stakeholder can access and engage with the plan. For the Niagara Region, we made AODA compliance a central focus, delivering a document that was fully accessible in both print and digital formats. This wasn’t a box-ticking exercise; it was about usability. From clear, logical structure and alt text for images to navigable headings and readable design, every element was crafted with accessibility in mind.
Niagara Region used Hughes&Co to design the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Action Plan report and corresponding documents. The team was great to work with and we loved the design!
