After presenting to the members of the Greater Niagara Chamber of Commerce this morning I felt compelled to share my thoughts around small business marketing for you, here. I believe firmly that you're doing it wrong, that there is an easier and more effective way and that you don't need more time or money to initiate the changes that will unlock that budget for you in the future.
Frankly, if you’re still doing marketing on the fly, posting here and there, and praying for engagement, you’re spinning your wheels. In 2024, small businesses need to stop with the “random acts of marketing” and start thinking campaign.
A solid marketing campaign is like a well-choreographed dance: every move is planned, it tells a story, and—wait for it—it actually works. Companies that plan campaigns see 3x better leads and 23% more revenue. Why? Because campaigns are focused, they’re measurable, and they make you look like you know exactly what you’re doing (even if you’re really just winging it).
Here’s the thing: With a campaign, you get to tell your story across multiple platforms, but with a consistent message. It’s like binge-watching your favorite show—your audience gets hooked and keeps coming back for more. Whether you’re B2B, retail, or personal services, campaigns give you a chance to shine and actually measure what’s working.
Just look at Centennial College. Their 30-day digital campaign saw a 76% boost in social media engagement, doubled their Facebook growth, and turned clicks into qualified leads. Proof that campaigns aren’t just for big brands—they’re for anyone ready to get results.
So, ditch the daily marketing grind. Campaigns aren’t just smarter—they’re the future. Ready to dance?
